Rotomix F is coming back
The rotary injection machine which contributed to spread the name of Presma in the Seventies is now being re-proposed in a version updated both in commercial and technological terms to meet a market very different from then. The new Rotomix F will be available with 10-12-15-18 stations, will be destined for injection moulding of foamed materials, and, in the standard version, will have an injection volume of 1 litre (850 g of PS approx). Moreover, the machine has a 60-kN clamping force, proportioned to a mould holder with passage between tiebars of 320 x 165 mm. The first unit will be delivered to an Italian processor between June and July.
The development of this machine range has been driven by the possibility to propose a simple and cheap product. The Roto F joins the G version, but with a lower purchase price since its development allowed to "gnaw" a little bit on technology - as referred by Franco Canziani - to streamline the machine of some functions redundant for the applications to which it is devoted, such as the production of footwear. Further possible uses of the machine include injection moulding of thermoplastics in place of wood for thick articles such as handles for brushes, bases for brooms etc. which have to be lightweight and, at the same time, free from defects due to shrinkage and warpage originated by cooling.
