Polyurethane growing in India

Production in India of polyurethane articles is expected to reach 425,000 tons by 2015. This forecast was made by the Polyurethane Association of India which represents the local polyurethane industry.
In detail, production of sheets/blocks might reach 140,000 tons (compared to 90,000 in 2010), other rigid manufactured goods 150,000 tons (against 75,000) and flexible articles 80,000 (against 45,000). In 2012, Italian exports of machinery for foamed materials in India reached almost 2.4 million euro, compared to 1.5 million in 2011 and minimal amounts in previous years.
