Tria at K 2025: new granulator, new control panel and new logo
Three novelties characterise Tria’s participation at K 2025: the new TS Low granulator for the thermoforming sector; a new control panel developed for efficiency and simplicity to support the operator; and a corporate rebranding through which the company renews its identity.
The TS Low granulator is designed specifically for thermoforming applications where machine height is a crucial requirement. The new model stands out for its compact design which, thanks to a reduced footprint and a height of under one metre, makes installation straightforward wherever space is at a premium – for example below thermoforming lines. In addition, a dedicated trolley facilitates handling and relocation, as well as positioning within the production line.
Among the machine’s other features are acoustic insulation and ease of maintenance – the latter ensured by quick-release connectors for the electrical cabinet, water and compressed air, together with tool-less access to routine service points. This makes cleaning and maintenance fast and efficient, while reducing downtime. The compact dimensions do not come at the expense of performance: the TS Low delivers an hourly throughput of 500-600 kg, depending on the model. In short, the new granulator meets the need for flexible, compact solutions without compromising performance, enabling companies to optimise space and increase productivity.
The new in-house-designed control panel is compatible with all Tria machines and can be customised to users’ specific requirements. It provides full access to – and control of – all primary granulator functions: power on/off of the machine, haul-offs and fan; monitoring and troubleshooting of any alarms; adjustment of haul-off speed to optimise the grinding process; and scheduling of runtime and maintenance intervals to sustain operational reliability while minimising the frequency and duration of downtime. Each control is designed to be readily understandable, eliminating the need for complex visual indicators or signal lights that can cause confusion. In addition, the new software makes the granulator more intelligent and easier to use, enabling the operator to interact with the machine quickly and efficiently, reducing the scope for error and increasing productivity.
As an option, the new system can provide remote assistance via a wired internet connection, enabling predictive maintenance and helping to avoid long, costly downtime. It can also log – and allow retrieval of – the granulator’s alarm history and grinding data, supporting performance analysis and optimisation over time and improving the machine’s long-term efficiency.
As for the rebrand, in recent years Tria has embarked on a path of growth and strengthening aimed at serving converters and recyclers with greater reach and efficiency, consolidating its local footprint and enhancing service quality. To this end, it has integrated key corporate functions into its subsidiaries – including engineering, after-sales service, spare-parts operations, sales and, in two cases, production. In parallel, the company has invested significantly in innovation across its products and in-line recovery systems. Equally important has been the renewal of both operational and technical IT – software and hardware – which is now fully updated across the group. In line with its forward-looking vision, Tria has also introduced modern corporate welfare policies, such as flexible start times (including those for the production department) and a shorter working week. Another important step has been the introduction of an innovative governance structure which, while preserving the company’s family heritage and values, enables an efficient response to the challenges of an increasingly competitive global market.
The desire to reflect this change is embodied in the rebranding itself. The long-standing logo – dating back to the 1990s and periodically refreshed – now gives way to a completely renewed identity, more modern and aligned with Tria’s current values. The new design not only signals the company’s evolution; it also conveys its mission: to act as a strategic partner to customers, safeguarding profitability and enhancing operations through the recovery of plastic resources. The new tagline, “Empower Every Grind”, encapsulates Tria’s innovative approach and the value it transfers to customers: Empower – the capability to grind plastics strategically, to make every piece count, to turn scrap into resource and capture its full potential to strengthen profitability; Every – recovery as a strategic asset, with Tria as the essential enabler, a partner that generates value in every market by reclaiming plastic resources; Grind – both the “fragment” and the “hard work”: every piece of plastic represents investment, innovation and regulatory compliance; wasting it undermines the effort required to keep pace with the sector, whereas recovering it is a deliberate choice for efficiency, strategy and respect for the company’s work. With its granulators and systems, Tria enables manufacturers to maximise production cycles and optimise the recovery of process scrap, unlocking new value opportunities. It is a clear, emphatic message that underscores the company’s commitment to making every process, every machine and every customer increasingly efficient and sustainable over the long term.
