Union tests a hollow sheet line for the American market

A complete line for the production of polypropylene hollow sheets with a width of 2,800 mm and a capacity of 1,000 kg/h was recently tested by Union at its headquarters in San Vittore Olona (Milan).

The plant is destined for the American market and is equipped with the most advanced technological solutions, from the extruder that also processes recycled post-consumer plastics to the new flat head specifically developed to reduce tolerances on weight, as well as a water film system integrated into three sets of calibrating plates devised to increase output while ensuring excellent quality of the final product.

The hollow sheets are intended for use in various fields of application where surface flatness is an essential requirement, from buildings to packaging, up to advertising posters.
