Plant for blown film of Reifenhäuser at the facility of Gualapack in Piacenza

Gualapack, world leader in pre-made spouted pouches and a global player in the flexible packaging industry, has boosted its production capacity with the installation of a new Reifenhäuser EVO Ultra Flat Blown Film Line in its laminate production plant in Piacenza, Italy. EVO Ultra Flat is the flattening device patented by Reifenhäuser, which allows improving film flatness, eliminating bagginess, curling and film camber thanks to 4 thermo-controlled rolls and a stretching unit.

This further step confirms Gualapack's trust in the reliability and performance of the Reifenhäuser lines, strengthening the historical cooperation between the two companies. Certainly, this long collaboration between the two companies has made it easier to come up with a technical specification that is perfectly in line with Gualapack's needs for the production of mono-material laminates. “We believe that the most important advantage that Ultra Flat technology will bring us will be the perfect flatness of the film, which will allow us to significantly improve the efficiency of the next converting process as well as the final quality of our products”, Nicola Zancan, Global Technical Innovation and Operational Excellence Director of Gualapack, said.
