10-layer air bubbles

An open house is being held at the Torninova factory in Bastia Umbra (Perugia, Italy) from April 14 to 22 to introduce the new version of the Coex Bubble line for 10-layer air bubble cast film with barrier properties and a 2,500-mm width. The plant includes 3 extruders for polyethylene, polyamide and adhesive layer, respectively. The PA 6 inner layer improves bubble air retention thus improving strength and protective properties. The plant also features a lamination unit for the third layer with a dedicated flat-die extruder for in-line coating LDPE and HDPE film and the new 3-reel Triplex automatic rewinder for fast operation and changeover.
