Plastic for connectors

To efficiently use the electricity generated by photovoltaic systems, connectors are necessary along the lines conducting the electricity to the final users. Basf provides special versions of connectors and junction boxes in a polyamide called Ultramid that meet all such needs. This plastic is highly stable, fire resistant and, most importantly, resistant to low temperatures, an essential characteristic for systems exposed to atmospheric agents.
