Amut strengthens its equity
On 28 September a contract was signed regarding a purchase of shares in Amut by Fondo Italiano di Investimento. Today the Italian manufacturer of extrusion, recycling and thermoforming plants has more than 160 employees and a turnover of 147 million euro, 84% of which comes from sales abroad. The operation involves an overall investment of 10 million euro in company equity by Fondo Italiano di Investimento, which gains a minority share. The action undertaken by Fondo Italiano di Investimento will support Amut's future growth plans in all three business areas, preparing them to compete on the market by focusing on quality and synergies deriving from the scaling up of operations.
Thanks to the support of Fondo Italiano di Investimento, Amut CEO Mauro Drappo stated, Amut can continue the process of strengthening and consolidating its position in foreign markets, where we have already played a protagonist role for over 50 years. Furthermore, we will now have sufficient energy to step up our research and development efforts to achieve the technological innovation that is necessary and indispensable in maintaining a competitive edge in an increasingly complex and selective market.
