Cost-effective and ecological chilling

Thanks to a collaborative effort with Eurochiller, the producer of B-Pack plastic films has upgraded the cooling system (overall power of 1.4 kW) for industrial water in its plant, reducing energy consumption and thus costs. Eurochiller supplied two TFC 700 systems (integrated chiller + free cooling) capable of providing chilled water at 12°C. Given the climate conditions in Italy, these system assure long periods of operation in free cooling mode, allowing the compressors to be completely switched off. Each of the two machines installed thus consumes over 396,000 fewer kW per year than standard systems. This translates into a significant reduction of CO2 emissions and yearly cost savings of nearly 90,000 euro, leading to a return on investment within some 10 months.
