Multifunctional machining centres

For high speed machining of plastic and composite materials, as well as high speed milling of resin patterns and prototype moulds, Uniteam offers the new CNC Leader series of 5-axis machining centres with a gantry structure and moving cross-beam. Introduced at the recent Compotec fair (February 6-8, Marina di Carrara, Italy), the range offers various configuration options with X-axis strokes from 3,600 to 4,800 mm, Y-axis strokes from 1,800 to 2,600 mm, and a Z-axis range of 1,200 mm for machining medium and large pieces.
The completely enclosed structure and overhead drive assemblies ensure high operator safety in all milling work. The highly compact, zero-play modular drive gears ensure high precision and repeatability, enhancing machine rigidity and capacity to support high torque. The use of linear guides and precision bearings, as well as direct rack-and-pinion coupling, ensures the rigidity necessary for stability at high speeds.
