Recycling and compounding for two
The new recycling and compounding lines due to be built as a result of a recently signed joint project between Leistritz Extrusionstechnik and Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen (NGR) will be called A:Comp, S:Comp, X:Comp and F:Comp.
NGR will supply the technology for film, fibre and high density component regeneration, while Leistritz will bring its twin-screw compounding extruders to the deal. The addition of additives, fillers and melt reinforcements from recycled materials will allow the two partners to offer customers made to measure products and meet demand for a wide variety of applications. Thanks to a modular design, the equipment can be combined in a wide variety of configurations all with a centralised control system that is easy to use and allows processing parameters to be changed rapidly. Furthermore a formula management system will offer improved material traceability and consistent and high product quality levels.
"These new lines will expand the NGR portfolio allowing the company to become a 360° recycling equipment supplier. The partnership with Leistritz is the logical next step in a professional relationship that has already lasted for many years," said NGR CEO Josef Hochreiter. "Our twin screw extruder technology and the know-how we have accumulated in the field of compounding is ideal for 24/7 usage in the recycling sector," Leistritz CEO Sven Wolf added.
