At the American Coatings Show 2014 (April 8-10, Atlanta), Perstorp, a world leader in specialty chemicals, showcased a full palette of essential building block raw materials and innovative specialty coating products. On the back of its Americas success the company is lining up a series of innovative specialty products for the region's coatings market, such as their Capa thermoplastics and polyols, to meet the emerging needs of today and tomorrow. As the market matures for sustainable products, high performance PU coatings and PUD's, Perstorp has a winning portfolio ready to meet the anticipated future demand.
Perstorp is also the global number one supplier of penta, di-penta and TMP, and is ready to take a leading position in neopentyl glycol too through the recent investment in additional global production capacity. These essential building block products have both strengthened and secured Perstorp's position as the world's number one supplier of high quality polyols to the fast growth synthetic lubricants market, as well as rosin esters, and radcure coating applications.
One winning product series on show at the ACS was Capa, Perstorp's caprolactone technology. This includes Capa polyols, which are important performance enhancers for premium PU coatings and stoving enamels, as well as for PU elastomer, such as TPU. Capa for PUD's, is also growing quickly and is being particularly successful in leather and textile applications.
