The tie... is on the bag

Traditional bags for storing food in the refrigerator suffer from a classic problem: the tie. Normally, they come in packs that typically contain a roll of bags and a separate set of ties for closing them. However, the ties often get lost or there are not enough for all the bags in the roll.
To get around this inconvenience, an Italian maker of garbage and freezer bags, Virosac, has patented an alternative solution. Its new LDPE Legapronto bags come with a tie attached directly to each bag, which ensures the tie never gets getting lost. The special ties are made of strong polyethylene and attached near the open end of the bag, so they are readily at hand for closing it.
Reusable multiple times and 100% recyclable, the bags can be disposed of as plastic waste without having to detach the tie, since it is made out of the same material as the bag. Finally, the bags come in an ultra-thin, space-saving heat-shrink packaging that minimizes the environmental impact of the outer pack.
