The Swiss company takes over also Reduction Engineering Scheer
Switzerland-based Maag increases its presence with the acquisition of US-based Reduction Engineering Scheer Industries. Reduction brings a new line of complementary products to Maag such as pulverizers and strand pelletizers, supporting such applications as glass filled polymer. This acquisition truly solidifies Maag’s position as a top global solutions provider of equipment for the polymer and compounding industry.
In particular, Reduction’s pulverizer products and patented technology are an exciting addition for Maag and will serve as an inroad to new customers, especially within the rotomolding branches of the plastics production industry. Both companies will appear on the market under their existing brand names.
Maag manufactures in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, USA and China, with additional sales offices in France, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, India and Brazil. Reduction Engineering Scheer Industries has production facilities in the US, Germany and China. The combined businesses of Maag and Reduction Engineering Scheer will have a very solid geographical coverage worldwide.
