Sino-Indian dispute

During the Plastivision tradeshow (Mumbai, 20-24 January 2011), a dispute arose between the Chinese Consul General and the Indian Trade Association about customs duties of 223% slapped on injection moulding machines imported from China. It is therefore clear that Chinese machines are in fact very cheap - although sometimes many essential safety devices are not incorporated - not only on the European markets, where duties cannot be applied but also on the Indian subcontinent, where local manufacturers hope to be "protected" by the Indian customs authorities.
