Recovery and recycling of window profiles

The solid commitment to energy saving of Rehau will be reconfirmed by the addition of a new initiative which it is providing to its trading partners in the door and window division. It involves collecting and recycling waste materials from its profile processing operations. With this service, the German company is continuing the mission it has pursued for years, striving to develop innovative systems to boost energy efficiency and reduce the environmental impact, permitting the reuse of waste materials for subsequent production.
Since last April, in fact, door and window manufacturers operating in Italy who use PVC 1406 and Raufipro materials (the innovative composite developed especially as the core material of Geneo profiles), can dispose of waste from the production of doors and windows thanks to a partnership with Dekura, one of the largest recycling companies in Europe. The service operates in compliance with the current laws and without additional charges for Rehau clientele, and will recover, recycle and use waste material for the production of new profiles.
