Pre-K 2010 Italian tour
A 2-day pre-K 2010 Italian tour has been opened in the evening of July 27 with a dinnerl meeting and a presentation by Giorgio Colombo (Icma San Giorgio) - newly-elected chairman of Assocomaplast - to several journalists from all over the world. The aim of the event, organized by the Italian plastics and rubber processing machinery and moulds manufacturers' association, was to give a survey on the state-of-the-art of Italy output and a preview of some innovations Italian manufacturers will introduce at Düsseldorf. The program of visits to a number of companies included two meetings on July 28 at the factories of Negri Bossi (Cologno Monzese, Milan) and BMB (Brescia).
The Milanese manufacturer of injection-moulding machines expects to close 2010 with a turnover increase of 15-20%, offsetting almost completely the 2009 decline, partially attributable to the transfer to Sacmi of the revenue generated by the Bi-Power range. At K 2010 the company will be present together with the other brands of the Sacmi group in a 900-sqm booth where 5 machines of its range will be on display: VH 1500 Bi-Power, Vector 800, Janus 330, Vesta 220 - an all-electric range based on a completely new design - and Canbio in the new VSE version, which joins the previous VS.
According to BMB, this year should record a 8% increase, practically offsetting the 2009 loss. The company will attend K 2010 with 3 eKw models: an all-electric 160-ton press for packaging and thin-wall articles, a 280-ton machine equipped with a Star Automation robot for the production of cutlery, and an electric 700-ton press with hydraulic injection unit for moulding yogurt cups.
