Milacron with new direct sales and services in Italy

Milacron Holdings, a leading industrial technology company serving the plastics processing industry has expanded its presence in Europe. Effective since January 2018, Mold-Masters now operates a comprehensive new direct sales and service infrastructure for its complete hot runner and process control solutions portfolio in Italy.

Back in November 2017, Milacron representatives signed an agreement with Commerciale Isola (Cadoneghe, Italy), for the acquisition of Mold-Masters long standing distributor business in Italy. The final closing of this agreement took place at the end of December.

Walter Carraro and his team at Commerciale Isola supported Mold-Masters customers in Italy for over 30 years and created well-established long-term business relationships. The local team therefore had a large contribution to the success of Mold-Masters hot runner and controls technology in Europe over the last three decades. Walter Carraro will remain in business with Commerciale Isola - Isola Trading for resin trade.

With Italy being the second largest plastics market within Europe this change is part of Milacron’s ongoing expansion strategy and continued strengthening of local services across the globe. It is seen as an important step to provide dedicated resources and now even stronger support in this region, based on a solid plan for closer customer interaction and enhanced services and support levels to our overall European customer base.

“This is a very important step for Milacron in Europe. We can build our new direct presence in Italy on a very solid foundation with over 30 years of experience and strong customer relationships. The local team is now thrilled about the new setup in Italy and customers will receive even stronger support. Plus for the first time, the Mold-Masters product brand will be exhibiting a comprehensive Milacron booth at Plast show in May 2018”, Hans Hagelstein, president of Mold-Masters in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, commented.

Milacron and the local team, lead by Matteo Badella as sales and branch manager, managed a smooth transition for all existing and new customers and timely responses for all current and future incoming requests. The local team has been strengthened by the addition of new field sales and service technicians, and will operate out of a new office in Vigonza, near Padova, Italy.

The new sales and service structure is designed to focus on all customer activities in Italy and will underline Milacron's commitment to this market. Local customers as well as any companies with production facilities in Italy will benefit from the newly created resources as well as from the comprehensive direct customer support and injection moulding expertise.
