"Made in Italy" in Tehran
The seventh edition of Iranplast is taking place in Tehran from June 23 to 26, 2010, sponsored by NPC (the state oil company) and showing a significant Italian presence (the only national collective participation from Europe), with 19 exhibitors coordinated by Assocomaplast, on an area of 250 sqm.
Despite the current international political situation, Iran - with its huge oil resources and the consequent abundance of raw materials for local processing industry - maintains its ranking among the important destinations for the Italian export of machinery and equipment for the plastics and rubber industry (value nearly 25 million euro in 2009).
The local demand for technological modernization is therefore able to generate significant business opportunities for specialized companies. In this context, Iranplast has grown steadily since its first "International" edition in 2002 (turning from yearly to biennial since 2006, with the aim of improving quality and organization).
