Live pellettizing

Automatik Plastics Machinery held its annual Open House on June 11 in Grossostheim (Germany). The event, organized this year under the title "Profit from the pelletizing experts in PET/PA applications," focused on technology, applications and current trends in the production, processing and recycling of PET and PA. Through the morning program of live demonstrations, participants first watched the CC-PET direct crystallization process in operation, with throughput rates of 2,500 kg/h up to 50,000 kg/h.The company then demonstrated its JSG with PRIMO Plus 200 automatic strand pelletizing system for the cylindrical pelletizing of filled polyamides. Finally the SPHERO 50 underwater pelletizing system was shown in action producing spherical pellets of PA 6. Visitors were then offered a tour of the headquarters and production areas. A press conference was also held to discuss the merger with Maag Pump Systems.
