Kuhne affords crisis and look at the future
Despite the general economic crisis, in 2009 Kuhne registered, both in Germany and in USA, an increase of sales respectively of 45% and 12%. The world crisis seems to have just partially involved the company, that has however focused on research & development and strategic investments. The losses registered by extrusion blow film division have been balanced by an increase of 5% for the blow moulding one. Also the delivery times contributed to maintain the demand at the same level. Last year the company concentrated particularly on Germany, France, Benelux and South America markets, whilst business slackened in Spain, Greece, Scandinavia and UK. Kuhne anticipates optimism for the future, reporting that results of the first two months of 2010 are positive.
