Alessandro Grassi’s successor is named
On June 25,
Villa Erba in Cernobbio (Como) will provide the venue for the general meeting
of Amaplast (the Italian plastics and rubber processing machinery and moulds
manufacturers' association), whose members are this year called upon to appoint
a new president, for the period 2019-2021. Dario Previero, a director of the
company Previero, has already been pencilled in for the position, and once his
appointment has been approved by the members, he will take over from Alessandro
Grassi, who has led the association for two consecutive terms.
At its meeting on May 13, the Amaplast board, on the suggestion of the appointment committee of past presidents - Luciano Anceschi (Tria), Riccardo Comerio (Comerio Ercole) and Giorgio Colombo (Icma San Giorgio) - and with the approval of the special board of arbitrators - Flavio Giordani (Plastiblow), Simone Maccagnan (Macgi) and Romeo Varisco (Termostampi) - decided to propose Dario Previero as the sole candidate. Accordingly, his name will be put to the members.
The company Previero, which is based in Anzano del Parco and Alzate Brianza (Como, Italy), specialises in the production of machinery for grinding plastic materials and natural and synthetic rubber, and plants for recycling copper cables, tyres and post-consumer packaging. Through its Sorema division it also produces systems and machinery for the recycling of post-consumer plastics and materials from industrial and agricultural waste collection, as well as from separate waste collection.
