EPF Automation, Italian distributor for Toshiba, and Reco Tech have organized an open house for 4-5 October at Reco facilities in Arceto di Scandiano (Reggio Emilia, Italy). Featured will be three systems for injection moulding characterized by low energy consumption and high reliability.
The occasion will mark the Italian debut of the Toshiba EC180SX press. Part of the completely electric EC-SX range, the machine is available with clamping force from 50 to 1,300 tons. It is characterized by impressive injection speed and short empty cycle times. During the open house, the press will produce a polycarbonate connector using an AAG Stucchi mould, assisted by a Star Automation Cartesian robot.
Reco Tech's R-ECO range of energy-saving hydraulic machines will then be previewed, including machines with clamping forces ranging from 60 to 580 tons. Producing a product for pets using a 2 Gr mould, the exhibited machine features a AC-AC converter and a Bosch Rexroth internal gear pump coupled to the motor.
Lastly, a 200-ton Sandretto press will be on display with a new generation inverter, thus retrofitted to enhance energy savings. It will be producing an office product in crystal polystyrene with a Designer Club mould. The machine will be equipped with an anthropomorphic Kawasaki robot distributed in Italy by Tiesse Robot.
During the open house, the three machines will be equipped with Moretto auxiliaries and monitored by a system providing consumption data in real time.
