The plastics market continues the downward trend that characterized the first half of 2019. The prices of raw materials continue to fall due to a double cause: the reduction of domestic market demand (especially in the automotive sector - where it has started to fall sharply also PA 66) accompanied by large volumes of products from extra EU imports available at very competitive prices (any evolution linked to the very recent political-military crisis in Saudi Arabia could open up new scenarios in the short term).

In all sectors, recycled plastics are capturing the attention of buyers, in fact in some cases, as for the food grade R-PET, the market value of the recycled product has exceeded that of the first choice virgin.
