The multiclient pre-K 2010 conference, organized by EMG, was held in Amsterdam from May 26 to 28, and involved the following companies: 3B Fibreglass, Clariant, DSM Engineering Plastics, Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics, Polyone, Polyscope, Rhodia, Sabic IP and Songwon. Each company used the occasion to preview, exclusively for the international specialized press, its most significant innovations prior to their public unveiling at the German fair in Düsseldorf from October 27 to November 3. In spite of the global financial crisis, all companies highlighted the importance of R&D investments, showing confidence in innovation as the major driver for industrial development. An issue that cannot fail to rank high on any agenda, especially given the news coming in from overseas, sustainability was also strongly emphasized (in particular carbon dioxide emissions reduction, energy savings and biodegradability).
