On Monday, 26 September the first B787 Dreamliner was delivered to All Nippon Airways (ANA). It is a two-engine, long-haul aircraft constructed with composites. Designed to reduce fuel consumption by 20%, Boeing has termed this model "super efficient". Its performance is due partially to significant parts of its fuselage and wings being made of titanium and carbon fibre-reinforced polymers.
The B787 Dreamliner was designed and built by a group of the most important U.S., Australian, Canadian, Asian, and European (including the Italian Alenia Aeronautica in Finmeccanica) companies led by Boeing.
