With over 100 machines installed in Italy, Russia, Poland and Serbia the fruits of the industrial partnership between Negri Bossi and Sigit are clear to see. At the K 2013 fair the two companies signed a strategic agreement valid until 2015.
Partners for more than a decade, Negri Bossi, a company of the Sacmi Group, and Sigit, a plastic processing company working in the field of thermoplastic mouldings for the automobile and household appliance industries, have laid the foundations of a bid to secure an even greater share of the market, especially in such strategic areas as Russia and North Africa. The agreement will see Sacmi-Negri Bossi heading up a contract to supply injection moulding machines to a factory in the Tangiers Free Zone. The items supplied include not only injection presses, but all the equipment needed to treat and transport materials. From Morocco to Russia, where a project to double the size of the Kazan production facility will be completed in 2015, Sigit is a strategic partner for Negri Bossi, with an annual turnover of 80 million euros and a work force of 850. Sigit is already a OEM supplier for the Fiat, Volkswagen, Renault and Indesit brands - as well as for automotive part manufacturers such as Delphi, JC, Johnson Electirc, etc. - and has five factories in Italy and another four spread between Russia, Serbia, Poland and Morocco. In order to keep up with the flow of direct orders from car makers - Volkswagen, Renault and Fiat-Chrysler - over the next two years Sigit will install over 30 machines of various tonnage at its production facilities.
The choice of Negri Bossi as a favoured, strategic partner is based on the company's wide ranging selection of hydraulic, hybrid and electric injection presses backed up by decades of experience in the injection moulding sector with machinery installed across five continents.
