A new calendering line by Rodolfo Comerio at Tekni-Plex Gallazzi

The delivery to Tekni-Plex Gallazzi of a new high-performance calendering line by Rodolfo Comerio strengthens the collaboration between two top companies based in Lombardy.

It was in March 2020 when Tekni-Plex Gallazzi was put into serious difficulty by a fire that had damaged the three calendering lines by Rodolfo Comerio operating at its departments, requiring the prompt intervention of Comerio in order to recover and recondition of one of these lines at its own factory. This line was then restarted in June 2020.

A little more than a year after the recommissioning of the 

reconditioned calendering line, Rodolfo Comerio has supplied a new, larger one equipped with its most innovative and performing technological solutions, the result of a continuous research and development activity.

This is an important goal in such a short time, above all in a period characterized by the multiple difficulties created by the pandemic, which have been overcome thanks to the long-standing collaboration established between the two companies which have put in place their best resources and skills.

Rodolfo Comerio operates worldwide in the engineering and construction of calendering equipment for the plastics and rubber industry. Led by the members of the Comerio family, descending from the founder Rodolfo Comerio, the company has been active for over 150 years and today makes of innovative and high-quality technology its strong point.

Tekniplex-Gallazzi is a world leader in the production of PVC sheet and film for pharmaceutical applications and substrates for adhesive tapes. A company of the US Tekni-Plex Group, it boasts two production sites in Italy with a total production capacity of 50,000 tonnes/year of PVC film which is exported to 53 countries world-wide. In these sites in Italy there are several calendering lines in operation, all supplied by Rodolfo Comerio for coating, laminating and cutting tasks.
