Colines brings a PolyBlown line to K for the first time

At K 2025, Colines will, for the very first time, present a 9-layer PolyBlown blown film extrusion line with a width of 2,600 mm, specifically engineered for the production of films offering outstanding barrier properties and excellent optical clarity, thanks to the use of high-transparency EVOH. The resulting film is ideally suited for lamination with cast MDO-PE film and the manufacture of fully recyclable mono-material stand-up pouches.

The main features of both the line and the film include a maximum output of 800 kg/h, lay-flat width of 2,500 mm, and a thickness range from 20 to 200 microns. The line supports symmetrical and asymmetrical barrier structures, with either single or double barrier layers, while also being suitable for non-barrier applications. Particular emphasis has been placed on energy efficiency, with the system designed to ensure extremely low specific energy consumption. In addition, the line is equipped with cutting-edge technological features, including a next-generation graphical interface that is both intuitive and user-friendly, and brushless motor technology enabling precise control of film tension and winding speed. The system also guarantees ultra-tight thickness tolerance, essential for producing consistently high-quality film.

With this world premiere, Colines aims not only to showcase the technological level it has achieved in the blown film sector, but also to reaffirm its ongoing commitment to the development of efficient, sustainable and forward-looking solutions for the future of flexible packaging.
