2500 metres of stretch film wound on reels
Colines did extremely well at Plast 2015, where it exhibited, in operation, an ALLrollEx-200 plant for the production of stretch film using slot-die technology. During the five days of the fair, it produced a low-thickness, 5-layer film in Lumicene Supertough polyethylene, supplied by Total Petrochemicals & Refining, which is ideal for winding without prior stretching.
The plant ran continuously at an average operating speed of 600 m/min, with peaks of 700 m/min, recording an output of 1000 kg/hour, and producing 2500 metres of Superpower film with a thickness of 15 microns, wound on reels.
Coinciding with the Milan fair, the company also organised an open house at its Azzate facilities, near Varese. During this event it exhibited, in operation, two other ALLrollEx plants with web widths of 1000 and 1500 m and thicknesses ranging from 10 to 20 microns, which achieved very good performances, with production speeds of up to 700 m/min. The reels were wound on high-strength cardboard cores supplied by Moba Eurotubi.
