Paolo Radici has died in Brescia. He was 77 years old and, together with his brothers Angelo and Maurizio, headed RadiciGroup, the family business active worldwide in the production of engineering polymers and high-performance chemical intermediates for a wide range of applications.

The company's history began in the 1940s with an idea by Pietro Radici, the grandfather of Paolo, Angelo and Maurizio, who founded Tessiture Pietro Radici, which was later taken over by his son Gianni. Today the group has a turnover of over 1.5 billion euros (2022), a network of production and sales units in Europe, America and Asia, and over 3,000 employees worldwide.

Paolo Radici was not only a member of RadiciGroup, but also of Itema and Geogreen, companies active in the mechanotextile and renewable energy sectors respectively, and patron of the Ronco Calino winery in Adro (Brescia, Italy). He joined the company in the 1960s as a student and, after graduating in science and economics, moved to Belgium in 1977 to work directly for Ralux, a company specialising in carpet printing, while in the 1980s and 1990s he closely followed the company's polyester business.

RadiciGroup remembers him as a key figure in the company who, together with his brothers, helped to turn it into a global industrial giant, whose business is based on a system of values in which development and progress are combined with respect for people and territory.
