Goddess of the hearth
During an open house held on February 18 and 19 at its factory in Cologno Monzese (near Milan), Negri Bossi (www.negribossi.com) presented 3 models of the new all-electric Vesta range of injection moulding machines. Durability and power efficiency are the main characteristics of the new range, which takes its name from the ancient Roman goddess of the hearth and home to express the safety and reliability typical of a home fireplace.
Available with clamping force from 800 to 4,300 kN and injection volume from 94 to 1,190 cm3, these machines feature a mould unit directly driven by a torque motor and mechanisms deriving from the company's own hydraulic and hybrid machines. The completely new injection unit is based on two recirculating ball bearing screws to reduce the load, extend service life and facilitate maintenance operations while reducing the machine footprint.
