On April 6, the workshop "Exposure in practice: a new evaluation tool for food contact materials' risk assessment" will take place in Milan (Italy) to present the latest news of the project Matrix. EuPC, CEFIC-FCA, PlasticsEurope and FPE participate to such mission that has analyzed the eating habits of people in five European countries, combining it with the characteristics of packaging used for food preservation .
The research has identified a method of assessment describing the real risk of food exposure to substances included in packaging that could possibly migrate into food.
