Italian exports of extruders doing well
Extrusion lines have always been among the "pillars" supporting Italian exports of plastics and rubber machinery, accounting for a considerable share of the total - for the past five years this share has constantly stood at over 10 percentage points - and showing a steady growth.
An analysis of overseas sales of this type of machinery in the first nine months of 2012, compared with the same period in 2011 (restricted to the six markets accounting for more than 5% of the total) shows, at the top of the ranking, France, with a value of 20.7 million euro, or 8.9% of the total, with an increase of 72.7%. Then come Germany (18.8 million euro, 8.1% of the total, +22.8%), Russia (18.1 million, 7,8%, +50.1%), China (17.5 million, 7.5%, +45.2%), Turkey (13.1 million, 5.6%, -17.3%), and Poland (12.2 million, 5.3%, -8.5%).
The countries lying under the 5% threshold, but nevertheless absorbing exports worth between 5 and 10 million euro, are led by Mexico (8.7 million euro, 3.7% of the total, +41.9%), followed by South Africa (6.8 million, 2.9%, + 34.3%) and in third place Israel (5.2 million, 2.2%, +65.8%).
