Open house days

A week-long open house (February 7-15) has just been held at Torninova headquarters in Bastia Umbra (Perugia, Italy) to present a line for the production of masterbatches based on a co-rotating twin-screw extruder featuring high energy efficiency and a barrel and screw temperature control system that reduces the stress to which the material is subjected. It is an excellent solution for particularly heat-sensitive polymers, pigments and additives. Downstream of the extruder, the line, which is equipped with standard and gravimetric side feeders and a degassing system, has a cooling bath, air dryer and cutting system.
On the other hand, a new cast extrusion machine for stretch film has been presented from 18 to 20 February. It is part of the Compact Stretch series, which, depending on the version, can produce film in widths ranging from 1000 to 2000 mm. The series combines compactness, high performance, high flexibility and educed power requirement.
