Special engineering polymers at Feiplastic
The RadiciGroup's participation in the Feiplastic fair, running from 20 to 24 May in São Paulo (Brazil), focuses on a selection of special products. The Radiflam S, Radiflam A and Radiflam B flame-retardant engineering polymers based on PA 6, PA 6.6 and PBT resins are offered for the injection moulding and extrusion of automotive and electrical parts. The product range also includes materials with excellent mechanical and electrical properties, free from halogens and red phosphorus.
The exhibits will also include polymers specially developed as replacement materials for metals and thermosets. The Radilon S URV engineering polymers based on PA 6 feature a high filler content, while nevertheless maintaining excellent flow properties, while the Radilon A RV500RW 339 NER glass fibre-reinforced PA 6.6 resins stand out thanks to their mechanical properties, which are 20% superior to those of conventional materials with the same filler content. Furthermore, the company has announced the launch of a new range of long-fibre-filled PA 6 and PA 6.6 polymers, ideal for critical applications requiring high impact strength as well as a high creep and high fatigue resistance levels, none of which can be guaranteed by traditional materials.
The Radilon A HHR (High Heat Resistant) engineering polymers based on PA 6.6 ensure high thermal resistance, making them the ideal choice for high-temperature applications up to 210°C. Last but not least, the Radilon D PA 6.10 resins partly obtained from renewable resources are, above all, suitable for the injection moulding and extrusion of automotive parts such as air conduits, gasoline vapour evacuation tubes and fuel pipe connectors.
