Union invests in new production technologies
Union, which boasts a constantly growing order book, currently even larger than the average recorded in the early 2000s, is continuing to invest, this time turning its attention to innovative machine tools. The period from the end of 2014 to the end of the first quarter of 2015 will see new machine tools in production at the San Vittore Olona (Milan, Italy) facilities, in particular, an innovative 5-axis CNC machine for the production of extrusion screws and huge calender rolls.
The designing of this machining centre has been a lengthy process, given that it incorporates unique technological features, introduced in order to meet the production requirements dictated by an increasingly demanding market. It is an important step forwards for this manufacturer of extrusion lines, which has always produced internally the components considered to be fundamental to its solutions. The new technology will, in fact, pave the way for the rapid development of increasingly high-performance systems, able to guarantee parts produced with precision and in a shorter time.
Continuous investment in technology and machinery thus emerges, once again, as a winning strategy, particularly for a company like Union that, founded back in 1950, retains its youthful spirit and strength and combines a belief in its own capacities with unwavering dedication and determination. All this allows it to stand out, as a market leader, for the quality and reliability of its products.
