The trade show goes to the factory

Preparations and arrangements are in full swing at the Bandera workshops in Busto Arsizio (near Varese, Italy), for the build up of Plast 2018, to be held at Fiera Milano, from May 29 to June 1, 2018.

Throughout the whole fair period, the visitors of the manufacturer’s booth will be able to easily reach its R&D centre, The House Of Extrusion, thanks to specially arranged shuttles, and see the specially dedicated extrusion lines for the sectors of flexible packaging and converting, as well as for thermoformed rigid and FFS packaging, which will be shown running.

In detail, the company’s facility will host:

- a five-layer blown film extrusion line for the processing of polyolefins with the POD technology, ensuring hourly outputs higher than 1000 kg and a useful film width of 2600 mm;

- an extrusion line for rigid PET, PP and PLA film, featuring a gross output rate higher than 1200 kg/h, useful film width of 1450 mm and thickness ranging between 0.14 and 1.5 mm;

- components of complete extrusion lines specifically intended for agriculture blown film and geoliner blown film for civil and industrial applications;

- the new FDA approved PURe Unit dedicated for rigid PET food films.

Bandera’s solutions for packaging and converting will be focused more than ever on minimizing power consumption and reducing packaging thickness and weight. At Plast 2018, the Varese-based company will also underline its effort to promote an increasing use of recyclable and/or biodegradable materials, a commitment in which the Italian company plays the role of forerunner in many applications, and will exhibit its Industry 4.0 software implementations. Finally, the day of June 1 will be dedicated to the theme of customer care.
