Wintec appoints a new director of sales

With Don Ivey, a highly experienced injection moulding expert is taking the helm of Wintec sales in North America. This position was newly created after the injection moulding machine builder, part of the Engel Group and domiciled in Changzhou, China, decided to expand its sales into selected American markets as of May 2018. As the director of sales for North America, Don Ivey is responsible for the United States and Canada.
Don Ivey is transitioning within the group of companies, from Engel in York, Pennsylvania. Altogether, he has been at home in the plastics industry for 23 years, and has been selling injection moulding machines for 20 years. He joined the Engel Group in 2016.
At Wintec North America, Don Ivey is starting out with a team of experienced sales engineers, located throughout the sales region. "Customer proximity is especially important to us", emphasizes Peter Auinger, Wintec president Americas. "We are continuously expanding our sales network".
Since 2014, Wintec has produced high-quality injection moulding machines for standard applications and has focused primarily on marketing in Asia during this time. With sales commencing in May 2018, the company is now expanding its distribution into the US, Canadian, Mexican, and Brazilian markets. At the NPE 2018, from May 7 to 11 in Orlando, Florida, the injection moulding machine builder will introduce itself to the American public for the first time.
