Evonik launches a theme portal for Plexiglas brand
Plexiglas is one of the world's best-known plastics brands and enables a wide range of design options, from lighting to architecture, shopfitting and much more. Evonik now presents outstanding and pioneering examples of its use on the website.
“Inspiration has always been at the heart of the Plexiglas brand. That is why we now want to showcase particular examples in which our product has inspired designers, architects, developers and other users to implement their projects”, says Martin Krämer, head of the acrylic products division at Evonik. Available in five languages, the website also covers the latest trends in various market segments and provides background information on technical developments.
The range of themes covered on the new website is as varied as the ways Plexiglas can be used. In large-scale images, reports and videos, www.world-of-plexiglas.com presents the challenges faced by users worldwide and how they found Plexiglas to be the ideal material for making their ideas reality. “Our customers take unconventional approaches together with us again and again. They find solutions for long-standing problems, improve existing products and develop new applications”, says Krämer. “We see ourselves as partners for our customers, supporting them with our expertise and market knowledge”.
The website's design also picks up on inspiration being the heart of the Plexiglas brand. As soon as they call up the homepage, users find a varied mix of themes that encourages them to browse. Filter navigation offers more detailed insight by field of interest. The new website has been designed and implemented by the Darmstadt-based content marketing agency Profilwerkstatt. “Our relationship with Plexiglas goes back many years and covers lots of exciting projects and publications. Having worked on customer magazines, employee newsletters and specialist PR, we are now delighted to be establishing digital channels for Plexiglas”, says Ralf Ansorge, managing partner of Profilwerkstatt. The website will be supported by an increased presence for the plastics brand on social media. Instagram and Facebook pages have been added to the mix of social media channels.
