Alfatherm strengthens its presence in America
Based in Italy just outside Milan, Alfatherm announced a new distribution partnership with Toppan Interamerica (TIA). TIA will market and promote Alfatherm’s new Serica super matt 3D and 2D solid colours to its customer base. Giuseppe Cerizza, president of Alfatherm North America, said: "We are very proud to announce this collaboration with TIA, our business has grown exponentially in North America and this will be a great addition to this strategic expansion”.
Serica super matt from Alfatherm has a warm luxurious and captivating silky finish and is the new standard for matt surfaces. Incorporating extremely robust anti-scratch and anti-fingerprint technology with the added benefit of thermal healing of micro scratches, Serica sets new standards for customers wanting to achieve a realistic paint effect surface at a commercial cost. Serica is designed to cover all types of decorative rooms in the home as well as offices, store fittings, and is a perfect choice for exhibition contractors and specialized projects.
Toppan Interamerica, headquartered in McDonough, Georgia, USA, and celebrating its thirtieth anniversary is a vertically integrated printer with two major gravure printing operations in North America. Its director of sales, Patrick Page, declared: “We are excited about this new partnership with Alfatherm, and as a market leader, we strive to bring high-quality decorative solutions to our customer base. Alfatherm’s Serica line of super matt solid color finishes will certainly provide new innovative opportunities for our customers in a range of products”.
Moreover, Alfatherm received by Dallas Laboratories, in the United States, the certification of compliance with the weathering requirements of AAMA 307-16 (American Architectural Manufactures Association) for its PVC laminates.
AAMA certification of suitability establishes minimum weathering requirements for decorative laminates intended for application to either interior or exterior surfaces. In order to obtain the compliance with the AAMA requirements, Alfatherms’ laminates were placed under observation for two years in three different US locations in Arizona, Florida and Ohio.
"At Alfatherm we are very proud of this result. It is in fact a further demonstration of the high quality of our products and of our ability to meet the most stringent performance requirements set at national and international level", said Giuseppe Cerizza.
