Thermally conductive
Lati Industria Termoplastici SpA, located in Vedano Olona (Varese, Italy), a company that has always been known for its innovations in the field of technical compounds, has recently developed a special version of thermally conductive compounds based on PA6: Laticonther 62 CEG/500-V0HF1, which combines thermal conductivity with excellent performance in terms of self-extinguishing properties. With solid UL fire-resistance (V0 at 1.5 mm, GWFI 960°C, and 775°C GWFI at 1 mm), this material also stands out for its halogen-free formulation.
Projects undertaken with this compound include the electronics case developed by Saplast Srl (Muggiò, Monza Brianza, Italy), whose design was based from the outset on thermally conductive compounds. The case consists of two sturdy shells designed to hold electronic devices, including power transistors.
