Robot for flow diverter

A new-generation Lx-1000 Stec-510 robot from Star Automation Europe was recently installed on a line for the production of a flow diverter for use in the medical field. The precise handling offered by the robot is particularly important in the manufacturing of medical devices. Repeatability and precision within 0.1 mm are important in meeting these needs both when demoulding the component using a suction-cup gripper hand controlled by three digital vacuum generators and when placing it on a conveyor belt or on dimensional control equipment. The Stec-510 control unit with 12-inch touchscreen monitors production, electricity consumption, and peripheral devices. It is used to freely program all manufacturing processes, ensuring quality and flexibility, fundamental assets in the production of components for use in the medical field.
