The number of companies within Mech-I-Tronic (MIT) has risen to 11. The mechatronics hub, established by the holding company Groupack by bringing together various industrial entities - including Union, a plastics sector manufacturer - has successfully completed the dual acquisition of SMP Moules and Ermo, both French companies specialising in the production of injection moulds.

With the acquisition, MIT aims to boost innovation, particularly in the pharmaceutical and beauty sectors, while strengthening its ability to serve customers with cutting-edge technological solutions and expanded expertise. By adding mould production to its portfolio, the mechatronics hub is now capable of providing tailored solutions for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and home products industries.

“We are excited to join Mech-I-Tronic, a group that shares our values and vision,” commented Maurizio Delnevo, CEO of Ermo. “This partnership accelerates our growth and reinforces our presence in global markets,” added Jacky Mazzolini, CEO of SMP Moules. “This integration delivers even greater value to our clients, providing them with innovative and high-performance solutions,” Marco Giovannini, President of Mech-I-Tronic, finally concluded.
