Founder of Gefran, Ennio Franceschetti has died
Ennio Franceschetti, founder, and also honorary president since 2018, of Gefran, has passed away suddenly. The sad news of his death, in the night between 16 and 17 April, was announced by the company in a press release.
Ennio Franceschetti founded Gefran in 1969 as a manufacturer of electrical panels for plastics processing machines. In the 1970s, the company established itself both nationally and internationally through the creation of a setting device that quickly became a benchmark within the industry. The following decade brought the internationalisation of the company, which expanded its production to sensors. Subsequently, in 1998, Gefran entered the Milan Stock Exchange. Based in Brescia, the company has grown constantly over the past half century, thanks also to the support of the over 800 employees working in its production plants and sales offices worldwide.
The company’s board of directors, board of statutory auditors, employees and collaborators express their condolences on the death of Ennio Franceschetti and extend their heartfelt sympathy to his family as they come to terms with his sad loss.
