Italian machines from China
Negri Bossi has started producing a new range of injection moulding machines at the Sacmi factory in China, which previously supplied components and pre-assembled modules to the group. The machines, which represent an evolution of the VS and VSE range, will be branded as BM Biraghi VSA and the first deliveries are scheduled between May and June of this year. The technical specifications denote an entry-level machine despite some technological frills: hydraulic drive with variable displacement pumps (also in an energy-saving version with inverter on the pump), clamping force from 130 to 430 tons, simplified electronics (the same installed on small EOS machines), and protections suitable for the target markets. The aim is to propose a machine 20-25% cheaper than similar ones from Negri Bossi to penetrate the emerging markets, from Asia to South America. In the future, but not in the short term, this range could also be proposed in Italy to cover the market currently in the hands of Asian manufacturers. The aim is to build between 50 and 60 machines of the new series this year.
