Italian-Brazilian engineering polymers
At the Brazilian showcase for the plastics industry, Brasilplast 2011 (which opened its doors on May 9 and will close them on Friday, May 13), the Italian raw materials producer Radici Group (located near Bergamo in Northern Italy) will present its range of engineering polymers and copolymers, with special focus on its latest innovations such as eco-compatible engineered plastics and new PA66 products to replace metals and light alloys.
According to company statistics, the Brazilian plastics industry grew by 7.5% in spite of the rising price of raw materials, and seems to offer promising prospects for the South American engineered polymer market.
RadiciGroup has been present in Brazil since 1997, when a production plant (Radici Plastics) was started in Araçariguama. In 2010 this plant recorded a 35% increase in revenues over the previous year.
