EUPC also supports the Antwerp Declaration’s call
EUPC (European Plastics Converters) also supports the Antwerp Declaration, joining the chorus that, ahead of the informal meeting of Unione europea leaders on 12 February in Alden Biesen on competitiveness, has been calling loudly for urgent action to safeguard European industry.
The signatories and supporters of the Antwerp Declaration stated that, in one of the most difficult periods in European history, clarity, determination, a strong sense of belonging and a shared goal are needed. For this reason, a bold programme to strengthen Europe—while preserving its core values—can no longer be delayed. Ahead of the meeting, they called for leadership and bold action, clearly reaffirming that there can be no resilient, secure or strong Europe without a strong European industry.
“The community calls on EU leaders to ensure that the Alden Biesen meeting becomes the moment when Europe commits to adopting bold, coordinated measures that restore industrial competitiveness and secure high-quality jobs for future generations, with visible results in 2026,” EUPC said in a press release.
