Gamma Meccanica North America is growing
Gamma Meccanica North America, a joint-venture founded in 2007 by Gamma Meccanica and the US company Innovative Recycling Solution (IRS), is planning to set up a new laboratory in late 2010 and the first months of 2011. The laboratory will be equipped with a pilot line manufactured by Gamma Meccanica in Italy to enable American recyclers to perform tests directly on site and will include devices to evaluate the results of such tests.
As stated by Heath Sellers (president and general manager of Gamma Meccanica North America and IRS) and confirmed to our staff by Maurizio Burini, who is in charge of the project for the Italians, in 2009 the joint venture recorded its best results ever, and the trend for the first part of 2010 suggests that this record will soon be broken again. The North American market is showing an increasing interest towards recycling plastics, partially boosted by growing awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability.
