Dream Carbon

Within the periodic table of the elements, the sixth position of all the well-known material genome is occupied by carbon, which – in terms of application – is one of the latest frontier of the automotive industry.
This resilient and light material is currently one of the most largely used for high performances such as easy drive, energy recovery, low emissions etc.
The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento – one of the most famous Italian dream cars – was presented on October 2 at the Paris Motor Show and is the sum of the first results gained by the Italian car manufacturer within the testing of plastics filled with carbon fibres. Lamborghini develops these technologies in the Advanced Composites Research Center (ACRC) located in Sant'Agata Bolognese (Bologna, Italy) and  Advanced Composite Structure Laboratory (ACSL) of Seattle (Washington), in cooperation with the Washington University and Boeing.
